He was born Gregory Nordeen Bratland on July 18, 1961 at Huron, the son of Norris and Marjorie Blanche (Staum) Bratland. At the age of 6 the family moved to Huron where he was schooled. Following his schooling he worked for the Huron Daily Plainsman in 1993 and 1994 as a route delivery person. After his father's death in 1994, he lived with his mother in Huron until moving to Watertown in 1997 and enrolling in the New Horizons program. His mother moved to a care facility in Clark that same year and passed in 2001. After moving to Watertown Greg then worked at Jubilee Grocery until December 31, 1997 and then worked for Dakota Tube from February of 1998 until August of 2000. Following his employment at Dakota Tube, Greg worked in the woodshop at New Horizons and later the kitchen. He has continued to be employed at New Horizons until his death. Some of his fondest moments in life was watching TV, especially sports, knowing first hand all the information on the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins. He thoroughly enjoyed talking sports and was very knowledgeable about it. Pizza was his favorite food and enjoying the buffet at Godfather's Pizza was special to him. Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Garald in 1946. Grateful for having shared his life are his brothers, Gaylon (Carolyn) Bratland of Apple Valley, MN, Randall (Sandra) Bratland of Custer and Norlyn (Donna) Bratland of Aberdeen and eight nieces and nephews. Furness Funeral Home of Clark is serving the family. www.furnessfuneralhome.com for an on-line registry.
