Gary Klatt

Gary Klatt age 65, rural Clark, died at his home northwest of Clark on Monday, February 6, 2017.

Gary Lynn Klatt was born April 28, 1951 to Franklin and Vivian (Johnson-Graham) Klatt in Watertown, SD. He graduated from Clark High School in 1969 and received his Environmental Science degree from Northern State University in December of 2009.

Gary married Virginia Kranz in Kranzburg, SD February 10, 1979. Gary and Virginia lived on the Klatt family farm where he farmed and raised cattle.  He loved collecting antiques and following his boys during their high school wrestling activities.

Preceding Gary in death were his parents and a brother-in-law, Jack Starkman.

Survivors include his children, Cory of Aberdeen, Garrett of Clark and Junia of Layfayette, CO and his sister, Bonnie Starkman of Ely, MN. Also surviving is his children's mother, Virginia Klatt of Aberdeen and two grandchildren, Baeten and Robert.

A memorial service will be held Friday, February 17, 2017 at 4PM in the Furness Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held privately on the family farm.
