Freda Kranz

Freda Kranz, age 92, the wife of Herbert Kranz, of Canby, MN, formerly of Clark, died in a Canby Hospital on Saturday, July 25, 2020.

Funeral Services will be held at 1PM at St. Michael's Catholic Church at Clark on Thursday, July 30, 2020, with strict CDC social distancing measures in place. Masks or face coverings are highly recommended in the building . Visitation will be one hour preceding the services. The Reverend Daniel Smith will officiate. Honorary Casket bearers will be Freda's Grandchildren, Niece Mary Jo, and Nephew Mike. Active Casket bearers will be members of her family. Burial will follow in the St Boniface Cemetery at Clark.

Freda D Kranz was born November 19, 1927, to Fred and Gida (Groven) Hasner at Watertown, SD. Freda was baptized and confirmed in the Luther Church of Summit in 1946. Freda married Rudolph Tuve March 1 ^st , 1946. To this union, six children were born.

Freda was a Sunday school teacher when her children were young. Freda also worked various other jobs.

Rudolph passed away in December of 1971 from cancer.

Freda joined the Catholic Church in Clark in 1972.

Freda married Herbert Kranz on September 9, 1972. She taught CCD classes and was leader of St Theresa Altar Society and Lecture. In her free time she enjoyed making and painting ceramics, playing cards, and camping with her husband.

Preceding her in death are her parents, three brothers, three sisters, and two sons, Dwight and Maynard Tuve.

She is survived by her husband, Herbert Kranz of Canby, five children, Richard Tuve of Sioux Falls, Joyce (Kenneth) Klaassen of Clara City, MN, Paul (Brenda) Tuve of Raymond, MN, Janice (Terry) Sebring of Clarksville, TN, a daughter-in-law, Kendra Tuve of South Saint Paul, MN, 17 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, some great-great-grandchildren, a brother, and two sisters.
