Olberg, on March 17, 1918 near Naples, the daughter of Lars and Petra (Berg) Olberg. She was baptized and confirmed in the Our Savior's Lutheran Church south of Henry. Evelyn attended country schools in that area through the eighth grade. She worked for various families in the Naples/Henry/Elrod area doing housecleaning and babysitting for several years. On November 27, 1943 she was united in marriage to Harold S. Larsen in the Grace Lutheran Church at Watertown. The couple lived in Vienna until 1958 when they moved to Sioux Falls for a brief time. In November of 1958 they returned to Clark County where they have lived since. After moving to Clark, Evelyn worked in various restaurants and also at the Clark Care Center for a few years. Harold died on Tuesday morning, June 7th, 2011 in Clark. Evelyn was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church at Clark where she participated in its women's groups and other church activities. She thoroughly enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge, and cross stitching. She (and Harold) enjoyed countless hours on the golf course, in fact, that might have been why Harold died a couple of weeks before Evelyn, he went to get the greens in order! Evelyn loved spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking, her sugar cookies and sour cream raisin bars were second to none! While standing at the kitchen sink she enjoyed watching many birds that came to feast off of one of the feeders out in the yard. In 2005 they moved from their home to a townhome and then later into the Fay Wookey Memorial Assisted Living Center in Clark and later into the care center. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, and sisters, Alma (Clarence) Sasse, Clara (Joe) Brewster and Alice (Ray) French. Grateful for having shared in her life are her children, Sandra "Sandy" (Wayne "Buster") Altfillisch of Clark, Richard "Dick" (Bernie) Larsen, Robert "Bob" (Linda) Larsen all of Sioux Falls and Rodney "Rod" Larsen of Shawnee Mission, KS, 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Arrangements are with the Furness Funeral Home at Clark where there is an on-line registry at www.furnessfuneralhome.com
