Emanuel Waldner died peacefully surrounded by his loving family at home early Wednesday morning, December 28, 2016. Visitation begins on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 4PM the Waldner home at Silver Lake Colony and continues until service time on Friday.  There will be a wake service held at 9PM in the Silver Lake Church. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 2PM at Silver Lake Colony near Clark.  Burial follows in the Silver Lake Cemetery.
Emanuel J. Waldner was born on June 19, 1935 at Rockport Colony. In 1949, he moved to Riverside Colony where he was the turkey man for four years. Emanuel married Katie Waldner from Huron Colony. He was chosen for Farm Boss in 1964 and held that job until 1978 at Riverside Colony. In 1978 the family moved to Hillcrest Colony near Garden City where he was farm boss for a year. Later, he was an electrician for many years until he had to retire because of his health. In 2011, he moved to Silver Lake Colony until his death.
Emanuel enjoyed his life strong in his faith. He always enjoyed company and he always wanted his family nearby, which he loved dearly. He enjoyed 56 years of marriage to his wife Katie who took care of him and was his favorite nurse to the end.

53 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and many other relatives, friends, and caregivers.
Emanuel was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Thelma, two brothers, five half-brothers, five half-sisters and two grandsons. Funeral arrangements are  with the Furness Funeral Home at Clark where there is an on-line registry at www.furnessfuneralhome.com
