Elsie Lucille Seefeldt, age 92, Pierre, widow of Vernon "Bud" Seefeldt, died in the St. Mary's Hospital in Pierre on Thursday evening, June 11, 2009. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 15, 2009 at 11AM in the United Methodist Church at Clark with the Reverend Warren Rhodes officiating. Casket bearers will be Gary Seefeldt, Billy Schulz, Vernon Seefeldt, Leonard Rudloff , Keith Kupec. Music will be presented by Wanda Bethke as organist and Wendy Christman as soloist. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Clark. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5-7 PM at the Furness Funeral Home at Clark and after 10AM on Monday morning at the Church. She was born Elsie Lucille Schulz on June 1, 1917 at Clark, the daughter of William Alfred and Mae Maude (Killmer) Schulz. She attended school at Clark. On June 19, 1937 she was united in marriage to Vernon Bud Seefeldt at Clark. They lived in Clark after their marriage. In 1953 they moved to Crofton, Nebraska until 1973. They lived for a brief time in Puerto Rico and the East Coast until returning to Clark. Bud died in 1988. Prior to his death they had moved to Pierre to be closer to their son, Rodger. After Buds death, she continued living in Pierre until just a short time ago when she moved into the Fay Wookey Assisted Living Center at Clark. This past week she had returned to Pierre due to her health condition. Some of her hobbies included crocheting, reading and doing embroidery. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include her sons, Rodger (Sandra Sandy) Seefeldt of Pierre and Gary (Allison) Seefeldt of Dover, Delaware, 6 grandchildren, David, Vernon, Cheryl, Gary, Jr and Glenn Seefeldt and Gretchen Massey and 7 great-grandchildren, Kyah, William, Ryan, Colin, Riley, Gabriella and Sierra. She also leaves a sister-in-law, Lavon Bonny Schulz of Clark and other extended family members. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband and brothers, Glenn & Kenneth Schulz.
