In Memory of Elias J. Waldner, age 89 of Mayfield Colony, rural Willow Lake, passed away peacefully in his home on January 25, 2007. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 2PM at the Mayfield Colony, burial will be in the Mayfield Cemetery on the grounds of the colony. Visitation begins on Friday at 4PM in his home and will continue until the time of the services. He was born on August 16, 1917 at Riverside Colony, near Huron, the son of Joseph and Susanna (Walter) Waldner. He moved to Elie Manitoba, Canada in 1917 living there until 1937 when he moved to Jamesville Colony near Yankton, SD. On May 11, 1947 he was united in marriage to Esther Glanzer. In 1955 they moved to Clark Colony south of Raymond and then on April 6, 1987 they moved to the Mayfield Colony. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of nearly 60 years, Esther and their children, Betty Glanzer and husband The Reverend Eli, Judy Glanzer and husband Paul all of Mayfield Colony, Clarence Waldner and wife Hilda of Clark Colony, Andy Waldner and wife Edna and Eli Waldner and wife Deborah all of Mayfield, a daughter-in-law, Anna Waldner of Clark Colony. He also leaves 29 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and his siblings, Barbara Waldner, Rev. Leonard Waldner, George Waldner, Fred Waldner and Paul Waldner all of Clark Colony, Joseph Waldner of Alabama, Rachel Glanzer of Hillside Colony, Sarah Waldner of Maple Grove Colony in Canada, Darius of Orland Colony and Jacob of Huron and many nieces and nephews.
