Elias "Eli" J Waldner

Elias J. Waldner age 80, of Silver Lake Colony at Clark died on Sunday afternoon, February 13, 2022 at Prairie Lakes Hospital at Watertown with family at his side.

Visitation will be held at his home at Silver Lake Colony on Tuesday. February 15, 2022 beginning at 2PM until 10PM.  Funeral services will be on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Silver Lake Colony Church with burial following in the Colony Cemetery.

He was born on February 9, 1942 at Alexandria, SD, the son of John and Sarah (Wipf) Waldner.  The family moved to Riverside Colony as a child where he attended school.  In 1978 he relocated to Hillcrest Colony at Garden City.  He moved to Silver Lake Colony in 2011.

While living at Riverside Colony he worked the feed mill until moving to Hillcrest where he was a carpenter, and after moving to Silver Lake worked in the manufacturing center at CPI and then for the past few years was an amazing woodworker.  Eli as he became known, did incredible work with wood, making mini toy trucks, dozers, golf carts, cranes and other items pertaining to the shop.

Grateful for having shared in his life is a brother, Moses (Kay) Waldner, sisters, Elizabeth Waldner, Anna Waldners, and JoAnn (Paul) Grosz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and sisters-in-law, Dora and Katie Waldner.

Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Sarah, brothers, Paul, Emanuel and Jake, and a sister, Susanna.  Also preceding were two nieces, Thelma Waldner and Tammy Grosz, 2 nephews, Herb & Vern Waldner, a brother-in-law, Jake Waldner, half-brothers, John, Joseph, Michael, Jacob, Samuel, and David and half-sisters, Sarah, Rebeca, Katie, Maria, and Margaret.
