Earl Henderson, III, age 70, Sioux Falls, formerly of Clark, died suddenly in the Chamberlain Hospital on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Chamberlain while returning from a family trip to Custer.

Private family services will be held at the Miller Funeral Home Southside Chapel in Sioux Falls with the Furness Funeral Home of Clark serving the family.  The Reverend Dick Peterson will officiate.

He was born on May 4, 1947 at Salem County Memorial Hospital in Salem, NJ, the son of Earl and Grace (Travis) Henderson, Jr. Earl attended school in New Jersey, graduating from Pennsville Memorial High School on June 8, 1965 in Pennsville, NJ. On January 30, 1971 he graduated from South Dakota State University at Brookings with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Science. He worked for the Federal Soil Conservation Service for 30 years in Philip and at Clark, SD.

On August 7, 1971 he was united in marriage to Delores Fick at the Grace Lutheran Church in Willow Lake by the Reverend Dick Peterson. Earl was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church at Sioux Falls.

In his free time he enjoyed hiking, especially in the Black Hills, and hunting pheasants and ducks. Second to none though was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Delores of Sioux Falls, a son, Kirk (Sara) Henderson of Canton, daughter, Kristi (Kenneth) LaFramboise of Sioux Falls, grandchildren Caleb and Kaylee Henderson and Peyton and Abigail LaFramboise.

Preceding his in death were his parents and a daughter, Judith Lynn, in infancy.
