Donald Regnier, age 81, Springfield, SD, formerly of Crocker, died under Hospice Care in Springfield, SD on January 12, 2012. Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 2PM in the Furness Funeral Home Chapel at Clark with Minister Marion Grimes officiating. Dorothy Fuller will be the pianist. Spring burial will be held in the Mt. Hope Cemetery with full military rites. There will be no visitation. He was born on April 18, 1930 to Jesse and Ruth (Keyser) Regnier at the family farm near Crocker, SD. He received his education at the Mallard Slough School west of Crocker. After his education, he worked on the family farm until entering the military. He served his country honorably during the Korean War from 1952-1954. He received the Korean War medal. He was united in marriage to Barbara Babler on September 6, 1960. To this union three children were born, Harlan, Myron and Tamy. Don worked several jobs in Minneapolis, MN prior to returning to living and working in the Watertown, SD area. Preceding him in death were his parents, a son, Myron on July 17, 2006, son-in-law, Vernon Sehnert in December 26, 1985, a granddaughter, Hillary on February 6, 1990, grandson Kalob on December 17, 1999, a brother, Darrel "Ike" on June 30, 2002 and a brother-in-law, Art Gross on September 30, 2007. Survivors include a son, Harlan (Debi) and their children, Brittany, Ryan & Taylor and Harlan's step-children, Dan, Jessica, Matt, Mike, Zach and Amanda; Myron's wife, Louella and their children, Bobbi and Jaimie; a daughter, Tamy and hers and Vernon's children, James and Jordan Sehnert; a sister, Joyce Gross, sister-in-law, Eva and many great-grandchildren and a good friend Marlene Larson.
