G. DeWayne Moe, age 70, a lifelong resident of the Bradley community died at his home near Bradley on Thursday afternoon, April 20, 2006 after a long illness. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 24, 2006 at 2PM in the St. Johns Lutheran Church at Bradley with Minister Marion Grimes officiating. Burial will follow in the Prairie Hill Cemetery at Bradley. Music will be provided by Marvine Obermeier as organist with LeeAnn Maag and Roger Nordhus singing. Honorary casketbearers will be family, friends and his fishing buddies. Active casketbearers will be James, Ryan and Eric Caulfield, Matt and Victor Routh, Jr and Donnie and Gunnar Hagstrom. George DeWayne Moe, was born at Clark on March 24, 1936 the son of George and Edith) Tarbox) Moe. He attended the first six years of grade school at Thorp and then attended school in Bradley graduating in 1954. On June 20, 1955 he was united in marriage to Gloria Arndt. The couple moved to Washington State for a few years prior to moving back to the Bradley area in 1958. In 1962 they moved to the farm they currently live on where they raised and milked cows and farmed. He currently farmed with his grandsons James and Ryan. He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church at Bradley where he had served on the Church council and was a Luther League advisor. He had also served on the Board of Directors at Bethesda Home in Webster and also the Cottonwood Township Board. Known as Moe by most, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, visiting with lots of BSing and being the go-for for his grandchildren. He spent lots of time at his Enemy Swim lake cabin and enjoyed family gatherings and playing cards. He was a big kid at heart when it came to his grand kids and especially his great-grand kids. Grateful for having shared in his life is his wife Gloria of Bradley, mother, Edith Moe of the Beverly Healthcare Center at Clark, daughters, Beckie Caulfield and husband Jim of Bradley and Cindy Routh and husband Vic of Watertown, 6 grandchildren, Jody Hagstrom and husband Donnie of Clark, James Caulfield and wife Ann of Bradley, Ryan Caulfield and wife Erica of Wallace, Eric Caulfield and wife Jessie of Bradley, and Matt and Victor Routh, Jr. of Watertown and 2 great-grandchildren, Gunnar Hagstrom and Cora Caulfield. Preceding him in death was his father, George Moe.
