Dennis Knox, 61, Emery, SD formerly of Clark/Willow Lake communities died at his rural Emory home late Sunday evening, January 30, 2005 of natural causes. Funeral services are set for Friday at 11AM in the Good Hope Lutheran Church, 9 miles south and 5 miles east of Clark. Burial will be at a later date in the Good Hope Cemetery. The Reverend Roger Semmler will officiate. Dorothy Fuller and Roger Nordhus will provide the music. Casketbearers will be his nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-6 PM at the Furness Funeral Home in Clark and 1 hour prior to services at the Church Friday morning. He was born December 13, 1943 at Clark, the son of Clifford and Ethel (Torper) Knox. He grew to adulthood in Clark where he attended school. During his lifetime he worked for various farmers in the area. Some of his fondest moments were spent with family and friends, especially grandchildren. He was an avid camper, loved telling stories and getting a good laugh out of everyone. He also enjoyed riding his 4-wheeler and the art of woodworking. Survivors include his children, Peggy Alvarado and husband Martin of Estelline, Daniel Knox of Clark and Teresa Knox of Watertown; 3 grandchildren; 4 brothers, Ronald Knox and wife Darla of Britton, Jerry Knox of Minneapolis, Clifford, Jr Jack Knox and wife Sharon of Watertown and Roger Knox of Sioux Falls; 4 sisters, Donna Clyde of Clark, Darlene Langendorfer and husband Burton, Jeanette Swanson and husband Gene and Ann Ludwig and husband Keith all of Watertown.
