David J. Wirkus

David J. Wirkus, 61, of Berthoud, CO, passed away October 3rd, after a short illness.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021.  The public is invited to join the family for lunch and a time of fellowship at the Ullyot Building Community Room at 1:30 pm on Saturday.

David was born April 6, 1960 in Webster, SD, the son of Louis and Margaret (Harper) Wirkus. He attended school in Clark, SD. David worked various construction jobs in SD and CO, until he was disabled in a work related accident. David was known to put everything into his work and do an excellent job. After David was disabled, he enjoyed working on small furniture projects.

David was preceded in death by his father; two brothers, Stephen and Daniel, and a special friend Carrie.

Survivors include his mother, Margaret Wirkus of Clark; two sisters, Linda (Mike) Helkenn and Margie Wirkus; six  brothers, Bob (Sandy), Tom (Kim), Ed, Harley (Julie), Kevin (Mindy), Jeff (Shari); special friends, Brandon and Stephanie Dorn and Joe Fryer, and several nieces and nephews.
