Daniel J. Parkhill, age 60, Of Somonauk, IL died on Sunday morning, March 26, 2006, at Provena Mercy Center in Aurora, IL. Services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 1:00PM in St. Micael's Catholic Church at Clark with burial following in the St. Boniface Cemetery at Clark. Father Bill Hamak will officiate. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to services at the Church. Daniel was born on April 11, 1945 at Watertown, SD, the son of Henry J. and Dorothy (Grigg) Parkhill. Dan attended school and grew to adulthood in Watertown. Following his schooling, he entered the work force, owning and operating POMHI Incorporated in Racine, WI for several years. At the time of his death he was employed by Fermilab in Batavia, IL. Daniel enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed motorcycling, cars and hunting in his home state of South Dakota. He was also a great fan of the Elvis era and held a great love for Elvis music. Among survivors grateful for having shared in his life are his special significant other, Kim Pickrel of Somonauk, IL; one son, Daniel Michael Christopher Parkhill of Watertowm, SD; two brothers, Rich Parkhill and his wife Dyan of Racine, WI and Jim Parkhill and his wife Diane of Elk River, MN; six step-children, Eric, Kelly, Amy, Jason, Meghan and Melissa Pickrel; and four step-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Madison, and Emma Pickrel and Ryan Moreno; and a host of other relatives and friends.
