Cora Eileen (Lamp) Stickler, age 83, Watertown, the widow of Bernard, died on August 6, 2016 in the Golden Living Center at Watertown.

Private graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Clark with Pastor Mark Tracy officiating. A private visitation at the Furness Funeral Home Chapel at Clark will precede the graveside services. The staff of the Golden Living Center, the Prairie Lakes Hospice Team, and the staff of the Prairie Lakes Canter Center should consider themselves as honorary casketbearers. The active casketbearers will be Clinton Stickler, Corey and Coral Berg, Jennifer Hoffbuhr, and Leslie and Michael Muscarnera.

Cora was born on November 9, 1932 at Huron, the daughter of Jesse C. and Goldie S. (Hall) Lamp. She grew up and attended schools at Huron.

On December 1, 1950, she was united in marriage to Bernard Earl Stickler at Watertown. After Bernard's discharge from the Army, they moved to Washington state in 1957. At that time, Cora stayed at home to raise her 5 children. She was also a gracious mother to foster children. Once her youngest child went to school, she put herself through schooling to become a Computer Data Entry Operator. Cora excelled in her career becoming a supervisor and upon retiring in 1994, moved back to Clark, South Dakota. Bernard died in August of 2001.

Cora enjoyed baking, gardening, and visiting with family. Some of the other things she loved to do included: sewing, knitting, and counted cross stitch.

Preceding her in death was her husband, parents, and 7 siblings: Warren, Cecil, Chuck, Donald, Jessie, Butch, and Lorraine Schick.

Cora was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren and her children, Suzanne (Rick) Shively of Washington, Barbara (Adi) Pohan of Arizona, Clayton Stickler of Washington, Rebecca Berg of Watertown, SD, and Clinton (Teresa) Stickler of Washington.
