Cody Joseph White

Cody Joseph White, age 29, Raymond, died near Raymond on Saturday evening, October 9, 2010 of an accidental shooting. He was the son of Larry and Kathy White. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at 11AM in the St. Michael's Catholic Church at Clark with the Reverend Bill Hamak officiating. Honorary Casketbearers will be Ray Holmstrom, Don Bowers, Chad Fritz, Mike and John White and Kiialoni McMannen. Private family burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery at Lily. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at the Furness Funeral Home in Clark with a brief prayer time held at 6PM. Cody was born on October 9, 1981 at Watertown, the son of Larry and Kathy (Herr) White. He attended all of his schooling in Clark graduating from Clark High School in 2000. After finishing high school he attended the Lake Area Vocational School at Watertown where he studied welding. Cody has been working recently for Foothills Construction of Webster as a heavy equipment operator and also did welding. In his younger years Cody was involved in Cub Scouts. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Minnesota Vikings and riding horse. He participated in many of the Crocker Trail Rides throughout the years. Cody had a fondness of dogs, especially his Golden Retriever, Sam. Another favorite pastime of his was playing video games, especially on the X-Box. He was very good at tinkering, being able to make most anything, especially from steel. Grateful for having shared in his life are his parents, Larry & Kathy White, siblings, Amy Nelson, Danielle (Joe) Ambrose and Dustin White, his paternal grandmother, Grace White and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents, Carroll and Veronica Herr, paternal grandfather, Bob White and uncles, Fred White and Tom Herr.
