Clifton "Cliff" Bollerslev, age 87, rural Doland, died near his home on Sunday, March 8, 2015 of an apparent heart attack. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Furness Funeral Home at Clark with Pastor Roger Shepherd officiating. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to services. The pianist will be Dorothy Fuller with the soloist being Judy Mayer. Casketbearers will be Jeff Albrecht, Josh Coats, Perry Hofer and Greg Rahm. Burial with full military honors will be in the Doland Cemetery following a lunch held in the reception area at the funeral home. Clifton "Cliff" Lee Bollerslev, a lifelong resident of Spink County, southwest of Doland, was born on August 4, 1927, the son of Martin and Blanche (Lea) Bollerslev. He attended the Lawrence School near the family farm and then Doland High School. He was inducted into the US Army and served his country honorably until being discharged. Following his discharge, he returned to the family farm where he has lived and farmed since. While on the farm Cliff raised various livestock including hogs, sheep and cattle as well as most small grains. His heart was truly into being a part of the earth. In his spare time he thoroughly enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and visiting. Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother-in-law, Clayton Kline and siblings, Carroll, Dean, Jack and a brother in infancy. Grateful for having shared in his life is his sister Ruth Kline of Watertown, two nieces, Keri Kline of Clark and Kristi Kline of Brandon and great-nieces, Paige, Chelsi, Breanne and a great-nephew, Mekel.
