Paulson, 74, of Watertown and formerly of Clark, died Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Jenkins Living Center in Watertown. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the United Methodist Church in Clark. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM at the church with Rev. Sara Nelson and Rev. Jen Tyler officiating. Pianist will be Wanda Bethke. Dave and Carol Finstad will provide duet music. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Clark. Cleo was born at home in Lake Benton, MN on April 24, 1938 to Christie and Nettie (Gerken) Nielsen. Her family moved to the Raymond area and she attended Logan School then onto Clark High School. Cleo was united in marriage to Darrel Dean Paulson on May 7, 1955 in Madison, MN. Cleo attended Lake Area Technical School and graduated in 1990. She moved with Darrel so he could work on farms in the Faulkton, Ipswich and Aberdeen areas. Darrel and Cleo returned to Watertown several years later, where she worked at Country Kitchen, the Elks Lodge and provided home health care to various elderly couples. Cleo enjoyed spending time with kids, reading, gardening, sewing, cooking and watching old western movies on television. Cleo is survived by three sons, Darrel Jr. (Wanda) Paulson of Edison, NE; Donald (Janice) Paulson of Oxford, NE; John Paulson of Watertown, three daughters, Marjorie (Ted) Wicks of Gillette, WY; Deanne (Greg) Anderson of Watertown and Jeanne Paulson of Watertown, fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, a brother; Curtis (Janet) Nielson of Lewistown, OH, sisters; Margie (Bob) Bergren of Minneapolis, MN and Lovilla Grim of Farmington, NM, sisters-in-law; Lois Nielsen of Leavenworth, KS and Marie Nielsen of NJ. Cleo is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Darrel, twin daughters Rebecca Ann and Beth Elaine Paulson, sisters; Delores and Joanie, brothers; Lester and Walden Nielsen.
