Charles Wayne Taylor, age 62, Conde, died on Monday, October 13, 2003 in the Avera St. Lukes Hospital at Aberdeen due to complications from diabetes.

He was born on November 5, 1940 at Salem, Oregon, the son of Charles and Delphine (Loomis) Taylor. The family moved to South Dakota when he was a young boy. In 1959 he graduated from Conde High School. He has owned and operated an automobile body/repair shop in Conde until his health started failing.

On June 1, 1973 he was united in marriage to Bonnie Schmidt in Arizona. . He has lived in the Conde, Crandall and Clark area since that time. For the past three months he resided in the Groton Nursing Home.

He was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at Conde. Some of his hobbies included hunting, gun collecting, fixing cars and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Grateful for having shared in his life is his wife, Bonnie of Conde, children, Sandy Twohy and husband Brian of Rapid City, Wade Taylor and wife Laurie of Brookings, Melissa Olson and husband Jeff of Rapid City and Rick Taylor and fianc Billie of Tampa, FL; 4 grandchildren, Tasha of Huron and Jonathan, Jarret and Dylan all of Rapid City; his parents, Charles and Delphine Taylor of Crandall, two brothers, Delbert Taylor and wife Jan of Houston, TX and Ralph Taylor and wife Bonnie of Bristol, three sisters, Sharon Sauer and husband Tom of Watertown, Leeann Geurts and husband Dave of Minneapolis, MN and Dawn Kendrick of Bradley.

Preceding him in death was an infant daughter, Tina, a sister, Charlene Dunlavy and all of his grandparents.

Services were held on Friday, October 13, 2003 in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at Conde with Father Dan Wolfgram officiating. Burial followed in the Crandall Cemetery at Crandall.
