He was united in marriage to Shirley J. Reinhardt on September 3, 1966 at Huron, SD. On their 25th wedding anniversary, Pastor Judy Johnson, former pastor at St. Paul Lutheran Church, renewed their vows. He worked for the Larkin Potato Company in Clark for some 25 years. During this time the family lived in Garfield Township, northwest of Clark. While living out that way, he was a member of the Clark Center Lutheran Church.
