Carolyn Lee "Carrie" Nutter, age 38 of Clark, died peacefully in the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls on Monday morning, November 30, 2015. She had suffered a diabetic reaction at her home in Clark last week and went into a diabetic coma.
Memorial services will be held on
Thursday, December 3, 2015
at 5PM
in the Furness Funeral Home Chapel at Clark with The Reverend Kevin Peterson officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Minnesota.
She was born Carolyn Lee Nutter on July 3, 1977, the daughter of Carol Lee Nutter and Don Winslow. She became known as Carrie as her mother's name being Carol and grandmothers being Carolyn! She attended the Roosevelt High School in south Minneapolis. After her schooling she helped take care of children, nieces, nephews and also worked at various jobs.
Carrie moved to Clark 5 years ago and was employed at various businesses in the area among them being the Clark Drive Inn, Sportsman's Bar and the Corner Diner.
Some of her hobbies included listening to Chris Young music and watching his videos, going to concerts, shopping, and watching movies. Carrie will long be remembered for her giving people a "hard time", and joking around. Second to none though was her love of children.
She was baptized in the Lutheran faith.
Survivors include her mother, Carol L. Strahan of Clark, step-father, Matthew Strahan of Minneapolis, MN; brothers, Richard Lee Nutter and Timothy Daniel Nutter both of St. Paul, MN and a step-brother, Travis Carlson of Minneapolis, MN, several aunts and uncles including Ted and Christine Bethke of Clark and Donny "Vickie" Nutter of Hill City, MN, along with hosts of nieces, nephews and cousins.
