Carol Jean Fuller

Carol Jean (Maynard) Fuller, age 61, rural Clark, died peacefully with family at her side in the Jenkins Living Center early Friday morning, March 6, 2015 after a brief illness. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 from 5-7PM at the Furness Funeral Home at Clark and will continue at the Church in Watertown after 9AM on Thursday. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 11AM in the Grace Lutheran Church at Watertown with The Reverend's Keith Garness, Steve Maas and Janet Miller officiating. The pianist will be Dorothy Fuller with special music presented by Dennis Peterson, Kyle Peterson and David Maynard. All the Maynard cousins and the residents and staff of the Jenkins Living Center should consider themselves as honorary casketbearers. The active casketbearers will be John, Mark, David and Matthew Maynard, Randy Maas, and Ralph Peterson. Following a dinner in the Grace Lutheran Fellowship Hall at Watertown, burial will be in the South Elrod Cemetery near Clark. She was born Carol Jean Maynard on August 4, 1953 in Watertown, the daughter of Ralph Edward and Elaine Joyce (Hansen) Maynard. Carol attended school at Elrod Elementary School and then Clark School graduating in 1971. She then graduated from Concordia College with a Bachelor's Degree in Music. On February 27, 1999 she was united in marriage to Richard Dale Fuller at the Lutheran Church in Naples. Carol worked for several years teaching music in Alabama and South Dakota, including Clark School, and then worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Jenkins Living Center in Watertown. An enduring love of music filled Carol's life with joy, along with a deep commitment to her faith and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Carol enjoyed reading, gardening and technology; and caring for others led a special place in her heart. Preceding her in death was her father, Ralph Maynard and a sister, Joanna Sangl. Grateful for having shared in her life is her husband Richard of rural Clark, her mother Elaine Maynard of Watertown, daughters Jessica (Michael) Fletcher of Bowie, MD, Deirdre Whitman (Colter Ouradnik) of Watertown, SD and Elizabeth (Robert) Linneman of Watertown; 7 grandchildren; and siblings, Mary Maynard (Phil Erwin) of St. Louis Park, MN, Kristi Maynard (Tim Olderr) of Honolulu, HI, Joel Maynard of Minnetonka, MN, Jeanette Maynard (Gregg) Nelson of St. Paul, MN, and Sharon (O.B.)
