Carlton Whetsel, formerly of Clark, passed away on January 28, 2026, at Edgewood Prairie Crossing in Watertown at the age of 86.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at New Life Evangelical Free Church in Watertown, SD at 10:00 a.m.  A meal and time of fellowship will immediately follow the service, at the church.  Interment will take place at Telemarken Cemetery in rural Wallace, SD.  Visitation will be held the evening prior, Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Furness Funeral Home in Clark.  A time of sharing will begin at 7:30pm that evening.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Watertown Memory Care Support Group.
