Bryce Eugene Collins

Bryce Collins, age 76 of Willow Lake, SD passed away Friday, January 21, 2022 at Prairie Lakes Hospital.

Bryce Eugene Collins was born on February 27, 1945 to Elmer and Lillie (Pieschke) in Clark, South Dakota at Mabel Stacey's house. He was baptized and confirmed at the Hague Lutheran Church. Bryce grew up on the family farm near Willow Lake and attended country school and Willow Lake High School, graduating in 1963. He was a member of the National Guard.

Bryce married Linda Kretzschmar on May 6, 1967 in the Willow Lake Evangelical Lutheran Church. They lived and farmed on Bryce's childhood farm, planting many trees and making it their dream residence.

Bryce enjoyed fishing at the Missouri River, staying at his Airstream camper, "the bullet," at Bob's Resort near Gettysburg. He also spent many enjoyable hours watching his grandkids participate in their sporting events. After retiring from farming, Bryce started a garden that he was very proud of, giving much of what he grew to friends and family.  Over the years, Bryce served on the church council, Willow Lake school board, Carpenter Farmer's Union Oil board and the Willow Lake elevator board.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Linda of Willow Lake; daughters Chantrel (Dan) LaMont of Highmore and Shannon (Rick) Schaefer of Sioux Falls; grandchildren, Brady (Shanae) LaMont, Carter LaMont, Josephine and Palmer Boyd.

Bryce was preceded in death by his parents.

No services will be held at this time.  Condolences may be expressed through this web site or cards may be sent to the families residence.  Cards can also be sent to the funeral home to their attention and we will pass them onto the family.
