Beverly Mann

Beverly Mann, age 92, of De Smet, formerly of Willow Lake, the widow of LaVerne Mann, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, in a De Smet care center.

Private funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, in the Furness Funeral Home Chapel at Clark with burial following in the Pleasant Lutheran Cemetery at Vienna. Pastor Colin Beveridge will officiate.

Beverly Cora Erickson was born April 10, 1928, in Rapidan, MN, to Bernice (Larson) and Walter Erickson. She attended and graduated from Rapidan School and then attended Emily Griffith Opportunity School in Denver, CO, for her LPN Nursing degree.

On June 14, 1946, she married LaVern Marlin Mann at Camp Polk, LA. They lived in Minnesota, Louisiana, Colorado, Virginia and South Dakota.

Beverly enjoyed needlework of all kinds doing knitting, crocheting, needlepoint and hardanger. She was a longtime member of the Willow Lake Lions Club.

She leaves behind her daughters Joan (David) Putman of Raymond, SD, and Rita Koerber of SanteFe, NM, and son, Roger Mann of Creede, CO; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Beverly also leaves siblings Lloyd Erickson, Clayton Erickson and Gladys Nelson.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, and a brother, Glen Erickson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Willow Lake Lions Club would be appreciated.
