Dubs, 86, was born on February 14, 1926 in Conde, South Dakota to Christopher and Pauline (Breed) Lofthouse. She died on August 5, 2012 at her home in Oracle, Arizona. Beverly graduated from Conde High School and attended Northern State Teachers College in Aberdeen. She lived with her husband Ferd on a farm near Crandall, South Dakota and taught in one-room school houses near Crandall and Crocker. She moved to San Manuel, Arizona in 1956 where Ferd worked for Magma Copper and Beverly specialized in child care. Beverly was a perfectionist in her approach to many arts and crafts including painting, knitting, quilting, and crocheting. Ferd and Beverly moved to Oracle in 1973 where Ferd died in 1978. Beverly had no children, but treated many children as her own. She was a very special aunt to her nieces Paula (Steve) Danekas and Tawny (Joe) Arthur; and nephews, Dan (Melinda) Craig, and Chris and Craig (Beverly) Lederman. Many of her cousins' children called her Grandma and Ferd, Papa. She is also survived by Dub and Barb Ragels of Oracle, their family, many cousins, great and great-great nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband and parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her sister Bette Craig and her brother Chris (Bud) Lederman of Watertown, South Dakota. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, August 26, 1 p.m., at Cornerstone United Methodist Church, Watertown, South Dakota with Rev. Roger Spahr officiating. Inurnment at Mt.
