Beverly "Bev" Clausen

Beverly "Bev" Clausen, age 88, Clark, (Ed Clausen) died peacefully with family at her side on Sunday, June 10, 2018 in the Clark Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 5-7PM at the Furness Funeral Home at Clark and on Thursday after 9AM at the Church in Clark.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 10:30 AM in the Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ at Clark with Pastor Fawn Lamb officiating.  The music will be presented by Betsy Kolden and Kathy Weber with special music by family and friends. Casketbearers will be Heather (Josh) Redetzke, Robyn (David) Bauer, Chris & Tom Johnson, Allison (Nathaniel) Petrich, Katie Lindsay, and David & Jim Moritz. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Clark.

She was born Beverly Margaret Condit on April 28, 1930 at Mayville, ND, the daughter of Jeff and Nettie (Nelson) Condit. Bev as she became known, grew up in Mayville and then her family moved to Clark her sophomore year in high school.

On July 1, 1950 she was united in marriage to Edwin J. Clausen at the Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ in Clark. To this union four children were born: Mary Jo, John, Margaret "Peggy", and Peter who died at birth.

Bev was a member of the Plymouth Congregational Church (U.C.C.), P. E. O., and numerous bridge clubs.  She worked in the business office of the Clark Nursing Home. In addition, she was always willing to play games and cards with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Edwin and children: Mary Jo (Laurence) Johnson, John (Carol) Clausen all of Pierre, and Peggy (Don) Lindsay of Sturgis; grandchildren: Heather Redetzke, Robyn Bauer, Chris and Tom Johnson, Allison Petrich, and Katie Lindsay; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, and infant son, Peter, grandson Jeffrey Lindsay, and siblings, Ruth Skarison, JoAnn Harrington, Helen Moritz, Kathleen Spies, and Theodore "John" Condit.
