Beulah V. Langenfeld, age 92, Sioux Falls, the widow of Joseph Langenfeld, died early Thursday morning, April 9, 2015 in the Prairie Creek Assisted Living Center in Sioux Falls after a lingering illness. She was formerly of the Watertown/Clark area and had served as the Physicians Assistant in Clark for many years. A funeral mass will take place Wednesday April 15 at 1100 AM at Holy Name Catholic Church in Watertown with The Reverend Michael Wensing celebrating. Jane Rokusek will be the organist. Internment will take place at St. Mary's in Watertown following the service. There will be no visitation. She was born Beulah V. Paulsen on March 16, 1923 at Henry, the daughter of Emil & Iva Paulsen. Beulah graduated from Henry High School then proceeded to the Harry Bartron Sr. Nursing School passing her national boards in 1945. She worked at the Dr. Harry Bartron clinic in Watertown for two years prior to moving to Clark in 1947 and then worked at the Bartron clinic in Clark. On June 28, 1947 she was united in marriage to Joseph A. "Joe" Langenfeld at Mobridge. Joe died on July 1, 2007. In 1976 she received her certification as a Physician Assistant and served the Clark Medical Center until her final retirement in 1995 at the age of 72. In addition, Beulah served as Clark County Coroner for 17 years. In April of 1990 the couple moved to Lake Kampeska and then in 2006 to Sioux Falls. Beulah is survived by her children Marie (Ken) O'Day, Pam (Mike) Makens, Claudia (Bruce) Dunn, Nick (Sha) Langenfeld, Mike Langenfeld, Tony Langenfeld, Jane (John Hadley) Langenfeld, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Her sisters Irene Kverne- Rapid City, SD and Clara Crozier - Auburn, Indiana Beulah was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Joe, parents Emil and Iva Paulsen, siblings Ed Paulsen, Pat Paulsen, Hazel Karpinske, Helen Erickson, Harold Paulsen, Robert Paulsen, Arthur Paulsen.
