Bernice E. Konrady, age 90, Clark, formerly of the Garden City community, died early Tuesday morning, June 8, 2004 in the Beverly Healthcare Center at Clark. She was the widow of Vernon Dub Konrady. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 11, 2004 at 10AM in the St. Henry's Catholic Church at Henry, SD with Father Doug Binsfeld officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-7 PM at the Furness Funeral Home in Clark and 1 hour prior to the services at the Church on Friday morning. She was born on April 1, 1914 at Clark, the daughter of Clifford and Ella (Olson) Larson. She attended Clark school graduating in 1932. After her graduation, she continued living at home working at area cafs in Clark. On February 3, 1949 she was united in marriage to Vernon Dub Konrady at Madison. The couple lived and farmed south of Watertown until moving to California in 1953. They lived in California until moving to Denver in 1973. In 1980 they moved to Garden City, SD. Mr. Konrady died on March 2, 1991. She continued living in Garden City until moving to Florence in 1993 and then moved into the Fay Wookey Memorial Assisted Living Center at Clark in 2001. For the past month, she has been a resident of the Beverly Healthcare Center at Clark. Some of her favorite pastimes were spent working crossword puzzles, reading and spending time with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Grateful for having shared in her life is her daughter, Brenda Latunski and husband Terry of Clark, a brother, Arnold Larson and wife Harriet of Watertown, a sister, Joyce Krueger of Sioux Falls, step-sons, Glenn Konrady and wife Jo of Watertown and Dennis Konrady and wife Bev of Eugene, OR, a step-daughter, Connie Wade and husband Dick of Hemet, CA, four grandchildren, Shane, Jason, Heidi and Mara, 5 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Nicholas, Evelyn, Olivia and Katharine, 24 step-grandchildren and several step-great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, brother Earl Larson, stepson Vince and a step-grandson, Steven Konrady.
