Bailey JaNae Appelhans, age 17, Watertown, formerly of Denver, CO, died on Monday evening, October 24, 2011 as the result of a traffic accident near Watertown. Visitation will take place on Thursday evening from 5-7 PM at the Furness Funeral Home in Clark. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Denver, CO. She was born on January 13, 1994 at Denver, the daughter of Thomas and Bonnie (Cordova) Appelhans. She attended grade school in Denver and then moved to live with her grandparents in Watertown and began the 7th grade at the Watertown Junior High School. She currently was a Junior at Watertown High School. Bailey loved hanging out with friends, listening to music, being a movie buff and spending time on the computer and on her phone - texting. She will be remembered for being an extreme animal lover, helping any wild or tame animal she came into contact with, trying to save them all. Photography was a special hobby of hers; spending hours trying to capture the moment. When she was younger she loved playing school with her brother, Joshua. Bailey also enjoyed spending quiet time at home with Grandpa and Grandma Cordova. One of her favorite sayings was "We were cheezin"! She will be missed by many friends, teachers and her family. Grateful for having shared in her life is her mother, Bonnie Cordova and friend Scot Glissmeyer of Denver, maternal grandparents, David and Sue Cordova of Watertown, brothers, Joshua and Jeffrey Appelhans both of Denver, her father, Thomas Lee Appelhans and friend Debbie DeLine of Las Vegas, NV, paternal grandparents, Jan & Ron Goralski, a maternal great-grandmother, Helen Durand of Lakewood, CO, paternal great-grandparents, Stanley and Ruth Schnacker of Forsyth, Missouri, aunts and uncles, Kim (Don) Duszynski, Ginger "Auntie G" (Kyle) Koehn, Brian Cordova, Dan Appelhans, Jerry (Debbie) Appelhans, many cousins and a host of friends.
