Ashley Lyn Yanish

Ashley Lyn Yanish, Clark, age 17, the daughter of Bruce and Kathy Yanish died as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident near Clark on Monday morning, December 20, 2004. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 24, 2004 at 10AM in the St. Paul Lutheran Church at Clark with the Reverend Roger Semmler officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Clark. Rosella Hanson will be the organist with Roger Nordhus singing. Casketbearers will be Terry and Bill Yanish, Shawn Bubb, Ronnie and Mark Iverson and Bob Satron. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-8 PM at the Furness Funeral Home at Clark and 1 hour prior to the services at the Church Friday morning. She was born on January 5, 1987 at Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of Bruce and Kathy (Iverson) Yanish. In August of 1991 she moved to Clark, SD with her family and began grade school. She currently was a senior at Clark High School. While in school she participated in FCCLA, Year Book staff, Football statistician and a former member of the volleyball team. Some of her hobbies included writing poetry, most of all though, Ashley loved spending time with her friends. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church at Clark. Grateful for having shared in her life are her parents, Bruce and Kathy Yanish of Clark, a sister Allison Yanish and fianc Kelly Malone both of Longmont, CO, a brother, Andrew Yanish at home in Clark, maternal grandparents, Bob and Cherry Ann Iverson and paternal grandparents, Art and Marion Yanish all of Alvarado, MN, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends including a special friend Matt David of Watertown. Preceding her in death were all her great-grandparents and a cousin Christopher Iverson.
