He was born Arthur Edward Charles Paglusch on April 23, 1937 at Aberdeen, the son of Louis and Martha (Rehling) Paglusch. He was schooled in the Revillo area and at about the age of 12 became a resident of the South Dakota Developmental Home in Redfield. While living in Redfield he took great pride in working in the stables and barns, being especially fond of horses. In 1962 Marvin and Anna Kittleson, impressed with the way the home in Redfield trained young men in the values of taking care of the stables and farm buildings, decided to become foster parents of two boys, Art and another young man. The two of them moved to the farm with the Kittlesons and became part of the family, assisting in duties on the farm. In 1974 the family moved into town and the one boy didn't like town life so he moved back to Redfield. Art continued to be a part of the Kittleson home assisting in duties around the yard and house. After Marvin's death, he continued living in the home, being a caretaker of Anna. He helped in many ways around the home, helping Anna, clean, do dishes and yard work, even being her eyes sometimes in the car to go uptown! He mowed neighbors lawns, helped the City of Clark mow parks, loved watching the Minnesota Twins- especially Kirby Puckett and eating chocolate. His most favorite moments were spent with horses. After Anna moved into the Wookey Center, Art lived in the house for a period of time and then he too became a resident of the Wookey Center 5 years ago. In June of 2012 he moved into the Golden Living Center in Clark. Art was baptized in the St. John's Lutheran Church at Revillo and has been a longtime member at St. Paul Church in Clark. Grateful for having shared in his life is the Louise Kittleson family of Clark. Preceding him in death were his parents, the Marvin and Anna Kittleson family and their son, Paul.
