Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery near Lily, SD. He was born Arthur Aloysius Lynch on June 15, 1927 at Bradley, SD, the son of Aloysius and Marion (Cassin) Lynch. He attended school at Lily through the 12th grade. After graduating he helped coach basketball at Lily. On December 31, 1947 he was united in marriage to Alice Olive Anderson in the Parish House at Bristol. He always knew on New Year's Eve there would be a dance somewhere! The couple lived and farmed near Lily for many years where they raised grain, and also were dairy and hog producers as well. Art also drove school bus at Lily and Clark, a "career" he began while still in high school, during the early 1940's and after over 30 years, retired from driving when he was working for his good friend, Dan Duenwald, at the age of 80. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Clark. One of his greatest joys was driving the activity busses and being with all the kids over the years on the bus routes. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren's sporting events, hunting pheasants and being an avid fan of the Minnesota Twins. Art was very proud of his Irish heritage and the Lynch family reunions. Art also enjoyed working word searches, country music, dancing (especially at the Lily Legion Dances), driving and tinkering on old cars and all knew he had a sweet tooth, especially the rosettes made by his sweetheart.
