Ardis Anderson

Ardis LaDelle Anderson, 88, of Willow Lake, passed away on June 17, 2016 at Huron Regional Medical Center, with her family by her side.  Visitation with the family present will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m., or one hour prior to the funeral service, at the United Presbyterian Church in Willow Lake.  Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the United Presbyterian Church in Willow Lake with Rev. Richard Poppen officiating.  Special music will be provided by Ron Meester, Connie Sawinsky, and Linda Fleeger. Accompanist will be JoLayne Symens.  Casketbearers will be Jerry Pommer, Donny Pommer, Mike Pommer, Jim Pommer, Ron Meester, and Jason Stigge.  Honorary casketbearers will be all her nieces, nephews and all her friends. Burial will follow in the Collins Cemetery at Willow Lake.

Ardis Pommer was born on a farm in northeast of Willow Lake on May 25, 1928 to Fred &  Myrtie (Mennenga) Pommer.  She married Lloyd Anderson on February 14th, 1948 in the Reformed Church of Willow Lake.  Lloyd and Ardis owned a trucking business where they hauled what the farmers needed them to haul.

She was a faithful member and choir member to her church, the United Presbyterian Church in Willow Lake.

Grateful for sharing in her life are her daughter, Lorraine, and son-in-law, Lyman Nelson of Huron; six grandchildren Jennifer Beals (Jason Stigge), Amy (Adam) Fleischhacker, Anna Anderson, Lucas Anderson, Jasmine Anderson, Anthony Anderson, and six great grandchildren, and two sister-in-laws, Elaine Lamp of Canton, SD and Donna Pommer of Bryant, SD.

Preceding in her death was her husband, Lloyd Anderson; two sons, LeRoy & Erwin (infant); a daughter, LaVonne (infant); her parents; siblings, Ruth, Kenneth, Ervin, & Eunis; brother-in-laws, Herman Meester, Donald Lamp, and Tebbo Harms; and one sister-in-law, Vesta Harms.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Furness Funeral Home in Clark.
