Alma A. Regnier, age 89, of Crocker, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at the Golden Living Center at Clark. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 27, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Crocker Lutheran Church with Minister Marion Grimes officiating. Visitation will be prior to services at 10:00 AM Interment will follow services at the Prairie Hill Cemetery at Bradley. A dinner and time of fellowship will follow the interment at the Bradley Community Center. Alma Alice Dean was born on June 29, 1926, the daughter of Herbert and Martha (Koust) Dean in Hutchinson County, SD. She grew up and attended country school near Lily, SD. She helped on the family farm and was a hired hand for the neighbor. She met Arnold Regnier and they were married on November 4, 1950 in Bristol, SD. The couple farmed until moving into Crocker in 1967. She helped Arnold raise sheep and put up hay until 2000. Arnold passed away in 2001. Alma stayed in Crocker until she was no longer able to be on her own. She moved into the Golden Living Center in Clark in 2012. Alma enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding horses and 4-wheelers, and visiting with friends. She belonged to the Crocker Saddle Club. Alma is survived by her brother, Harrison (Evelyn) Dean, of Webster, SD; her sister, Lulabell (Laverne) Becking, of Watertown, SD; 1 brother-in-law, Wayne Regnier, of Tacoma, WA; 1 sister-in-law, Lillian Gross, of Clark, SD; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold; 2 brothers-in-law and 2 sisters-in-law. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be given to the Crocker Lutheran Church.
