Alfred Taylor II, age 58, rural Clark, died peacefully on Monday, December 17, 2007 in the Golden Living Center at Redfield, SD with his wife by his side. He had resided in the care center for three months. He was born on March 7, 1949 in Detroit, MI, the son of Alfred Taylor I and Mary Hall. He served in the (Army) 1st Calvary in Vietnam c. 1968-1969 and also in the Merchant Marines, as a sales representative & business machine technician. Disabilities brought about in the course of serving his country led to an early retirement & an introduction to the friends of Bill W. These friendships led Alfred to a beautiful relationship with the God of his understanding. He spent the past 23 years enjoying service to God and his fellow man. He loved fishing and the outdoors. Most of all he enjoyed sharing and loving life with his family and friends. Alfred achieved one of his life's dreams in being instrumental in taking the near extinct breed of Entlebucher Sennenhund back to better health and eventual AKC recognition. Our friend will be much missed. He was known for his brilliance and sense of humor, and his counsel was often sought by many. His absence will be keenly felt by many of us for years to come. Grateful for having shared in his life is his wife Katherine Kim (Kimmi) Taylor of Clark, a step-son, Uriah Pollick of Enid, OK, a step-daughter, Miranda Landry and husband Mitchell of Bainbridge Island, WA, a grandson, Uriah B. June of Enid, OK, sisters, Carleen Gryczko and husband John of Garden City, MI, Renada Bennett and husband Orlo of Ft. Worth, TX and Mary Elswick of Madison Heights, MI and sisters-in-law, Lynn Tower and husband Loren of Hastings, MI and Ali Clements of Spokane, WA.
