Ada Metz, age 84, Springtown, TX, formerly of Clark, died on Monday, March 24, 2014 at an Azle, TX hospital after suffering an apparent stroke. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning prior to services from 9AM-11AM in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 11AM in the Furness Funeral Home Chapel at Clark with burial following in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Clark. Pastor Chris Carter, a grandson, will officiate. Following the interment, everyone in invited to return to the funeral home reception area for a dinner and a time of fellowship. Ada June Metz was born July 25th 1929 in Bismarck ND, the daughter of William Earl and Flora (Scott) Page. Though formally known in this world by Ada family simply knew her as Mom or Granny. There was nothing in this world she looked more forward to than seeing family, however, WWE Raw and Smackdown was a close second. She also shared with many a love for the rodeo. She loved to drink coffee and watch the birds and squirrels in the backyard. She was full of stories about her upbringing and the farm they used to work on as kids. Ada was preceded in death by Father and Mother William and Flora Page, Grandson Jason Metz, and six siblings. Ada is survived by Sisters Ruby Dreher and Winnie Fisk of Watertown SD, 5 children: Sharron Tellez and husband Tony of Union City NE, Son Norman Fritz of Lillian NE, daughter Karrie Butcher of Alcoa TN, Son Virgil Metz of Grand Island NE, and daughter Queena Carter and husband Jim of Springtown TX. She was also blessed with 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
